Anambra State Government just approves N97 million for data platform development.

The Anambra State Government has recently approved a budget of approximately N97 million for developing a Solution Data Platform, intended to strengthen governance through enhanced data integration and real-time decision-making capabilities. The contract for this initiative has been awarded to Octave Analytics and Insights Ltd, with the objective of optimizing data management across sectors such as security, infrastructure, and public service.

This platform represents part of Anambra’s larger strategic investment in technology to improve economic development, security, and attract investment by creating a more efficient governance system. Beyond the data platform, the state’s agenda includes heightened security measures, infrastructure development in educational and healthcare facilities, and heritage site preservation.

In a related move to bolster security, Anambra’s law enforcement recently dismantled a notorious criminal hideout and recovered several improvised explosive devices (IEDs). This proactive approach, coupled with data-driven projects, underscores Anambra’s commitment to fostering a safe and economically viable environment.

These steps highlight the state’s ambition to leverage technology to create a more connected, informed, and prosperous region, prioritizing both the welfare and security of its citizens.
