Francis Nwifuru, Ebonyi state governor, has given an ultimatum to the Universal Basic Education Board, UBEB, to revamp all moribund primary education in the 13 local government areas of the state.
Nwifuru, who decried the poor state of education in the state, gave the newly inaugurated commission the responsibility to put franctic efforts and bring it back to life
The governor made this known while addressing cabinet members and stakeholders of the state on Monday.

Nwifuru noted further that his administration has given more than 35 per cent affirmative on appointment of women into political positions, and called on the members of the board to ensure that the people’s charter of needs is implemented in the commission.
“This primary education is one of the key sectors that we must revamp, and get it working again.
“Our job is to work with the people and Ebonyians don’t need much.
“The state government has all it takes to make everybody happy. And so, the government has to do all that is needed to make the people happy without wasting time,” he stated.
